Representation is when the media represents particular groups, communities and ideas through particular perspectives.
In our title sequence the main social group that is seen is the 'gang'. You see them as rough, violent and mysterious in our clip and the wardrobe helps to represent this stereotypical view of gang culture through hoodies, dark clothing and balaclavas. We got the ida to copy this costume style through films like attack the block and sket. These are two youth dramas involving gangs that wear similar attire to what we chose for our actors. We support the social stereotype relating to gang culture and connotating with violence and crime, so the idea of gangs is portrayed in a negative light.
