Weather:
Although it rained quite heavily with very strong winds,by 2:45 the day seemed to brighten up. In the woods as it got dark the temperature dropped rapidly but we are well equipped with hats, gloves, and thermals to endure the freezing weather. We also are having coffee breaks so warmth shouldn't be a problem. The lighting is limited but the dedo light works a treat to illuminate the set.
Set:
We have chose an open environment within the woodland for the main events unfolding on camera. The place is safe and quite mud free and even though it rained for some time the ground was barely even wet. The setting involves massive concrete cylinders scrawled with graffiti which really sets the realism behind our idea. We have Matthew's house for filler shots and the roads leading up to the woods near Compton school any other short scenes.
Lighting:
As it was our first time using the dido light we were scared of a possible lack of light situation spilling between our fingers. Luckily we had the opposite effect altogether. The dedo light is an amazing piece of equipment that lights up such a vast area that we always have light, even as it got darker the dedo light kept it lit up for the actors and also added a sort of mysterious effect to the shot which is excellent for what we are attempting to capture.
